Los Angeles, September 8, 1948: Dancer Vicki Evans (left) and actress Lila Leeds appeared in Superior Court on write of Habeas Corpus, after surrendering to Grand Jury indictments returned against them. The two women were arrested along with Robert Mitchum and Robin Ford on charges of possession of Marijuana and conspiracy to violate the State Narcotics Act, after an alleged Marijuana Party at the home of Miss Leeds.
