It was on this date 98 years ago that the great American educator, author, and Presidential advisor Booker T. Washington died at the age of 59. If you are interested in learning more about the life of this great and incredibly influential American citizen you can check out several books or dvd’s about Booker T. Washington at various branches of The New York Public Library. The NYPL’s Schomburg Center for Research In Black Culture also happens to have several correspondence of Mr. Washington that is available for potential scholars to research.
