(via MAKE | Samuel Goss’s Musical Bicycle 1899) If Samuel Goss, the inventor of this musical bicycle from 1899, could have traveled forward in time he would have fit right in at Maker Faire! My invention relates to bicycles, and has for its object to provide a combined bicycle and musical instrument whereby the rider when so disposed may treat himself and others in his immediate neighborhood to a musical accompaniment as he rides along.
